Agencies are responsible for purchasing and maintaining approved computer systems, operating software, networks, and internet access. Because of the confidential nature of data stored in VESTA and its use as a community database application, PCL requires that the system must be accessed from a secured and semi-private location. Computers located in public areas will not be granted access to VESTA.
Each user must have their own unique username and password to access the computer/network from which they access VESTA.
All computers that access VESTA must have up-to-date anti-virus software installed and running.
Minimum system requirements for user systems to access VESTA:
- Hardware: 3rd-generation Intel dual-core processor, 4gb RAM
- Display resolution: 1366x768
- Software: Windows 10 with latest Windows updates, Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) with latest updates, Word 2007 or newer (used for some pre-filled templates generated from VESTA)
- Internet connectivity: 5mbps down / 1mbps up
- Microsoft .NET framework 4.5 required for VESTAdocup**
Recommended system requirements:

Additional information
VESTA is coded and tested for Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) and Mozilla Firefox running on Windows 10. VESTA is a web application and therefore is accessible from any web browsing platform other than Windows, such as Apple MacOS and Chrome OS. However, VESTA is not tested on these platforms and certain functions such as electronic signatures using Topaz signature tablets are only available on Windows. PCL does not support VESTA’s use on other platforms.
** VESTAdocup is a Windows program to aid in scanning and uploading paper documents to client records in VESTA. This program is only available on Windows computers.
